Courtesy of UBJ

Downtown Greenville’s construction boom keeps on going!

According to the UBJ there are about 17 downtown projects in the midsts of starting or will be starting soon. This doesn’t include the EP360 building that is going up as well as other areas.

Fantastic for Downtown for sure!

Popeyes Chicken is now open in Boiling Springs! One step closer to the Greenville area.

Coming Soon?: Tropical Grille (Downtown, Mauldin, Augusta Rd)

Hey all! Hot off the press rumor for you to think about today:

did you hear there will be 3 more Tropical Grilles opening up? One is even going to be downtown.

employee at woodruff road told me

one on Augusta Road, one in Mauldin, and one downtown

they will be with in the next 6 months

So yeah is this true? Is it fake? The tip came in from a friend that frequents the restaurant so it could very well be true. Tropical Grille has grown a good bit since they started in 2010 and they are always packed out.

Stay tuned as we dig into this a little more!

Now Open: Endeavor Greenville (Greenville)

A brand new creative collaborative space has opened up in Downtown Greenville called Endeavor. It is a new venture started by Joe Erwin, the founder of Erwin Penland, LLC. This is fantastic for Greenville because the Upstate has a strong creative community and having a collaborative space for professionals and startups in this space is much needed.

Endeavor will be a co-working space in 20,000 square feet of the One building, catered specifically for creative professionals and small companies in marketing, advertising and public relations. The space takes up the entire fourth floor of the One building, complete with a full kitchen and access to a 24/7 gym. It is the former home of CertusBank’s executive offices. Endeavor will be the same size and less than a block away from NEXT on Main, which occupies 20,000 square feet of the Bank of America building.

Tenancy in the space will range from a few days a month to a permanent desk for individuals; companies and groups can rent a few desks or build out their own custom workspace. Endeavor also will be a venue for marketing professionals, whether freelance or working for a much larger company, to be among their own “tribe.” Creative people thrive when they’re surrounded by peers, which sometimes is not the environment in corporate marketing departments, Erwin said.

Looking forward to seeing this place really take off and help Greenville.
