Moe Joe’s closed abruptly last week. According to this thread it was due to noise complaints and their business license not being renewed.

Facebook page says that their business license wasn’t renewed due to noise complaints.

Bangkok Thai which has been off Pelham Road for a very long time is closed due to that shopping center being reused as a school or something else. They are moving to Haywood Road.

Bangkok Thai Cuisine closed on May 21st. Forced out by school / landlord. Relocating to Haywood Rd between Conn’s and Redwing. I think that’s the old Kannika’s Thai Kitchen location.

Renovations underway.

KitchenSync-635x325

Sounds like Kitchen Sync is getting close to opening now.

My wife and I were invited to a soft opening last night at Kitchen Sync. This is a new, local restaurant on Laurens Road (near Schwaben House). The owners have done a phenomenal job transforming the old Coble Dairy building into a functional space (with an open, spacious kitchen). When possible, reclaimed materials were used for the interior remodel.

This restaurant emphasizes local, fresh, ingredients. Our meals were great and prices seem appropriate for the quality.

Last word: KS offers made-to-order pizzas that are just as good as Sidewall Pizza.

Another local taco place has opened up on Pelham (in the Publix shopping center).
Tipsy Taco, a new locally owned and operated restaurant here in Greenville will provide the area with an exceptional dining experience. Co-owners Trish Balentine and Roger Carlton, who both have a passion for good food at a great value, are committed to using only the freshest ingredients in all of menu items. Our flavors are bold, creative and distinct, specializing in street tacos, tamales and other Tex-Mex favorites, our made-from-scratch artisan approach is the cornerstone of our flavor profile.
Their address is:

Tropical Grille announced their Mauldin location as a standalone restaurant. If you’ve not had their food yet then drop everything and go now! Some of the best Cuban food you’ll ever eat.

Tropical Grille has become a hub for mouth-watering Cuban cuisines with its four Upstate locations. Now, the Greenville-based restaurant is opening its first freestanding space in Mauldin.

The 3,000-square-foot restaurant, located at 108 North Main St., will be the largest Tropical Grille to date and will feature outdoor patio seating and a drive thru.
