Downtown Greenville has a new restaurant! Brazwells Premium Pub opened up this week in the former Ford’s Oyster House location.
Brazwell’s Premium Pub was established in 1969 and has two existing locations in Charlotte. The Greenville restaurant sports a revamped space with an “industrial-meets-comfy-pub” feel. More than 20 televisions ensure that customers will never miss a game, and the menu features traditional items such as wings, nachos and fried pickles along with burgers, salads and other specialties.
A weekday blue plate special for $9, including beverage, consists of down-home favorites such as country fried chicken, meatloaf and fish and chips. Shrimp and grits are a customer favorite, says Julius Tolbert, general manager of the Greenville location. Tolbert has owned and operated other Upstate restaurants, including Cornbread to Caviar in Spartanburg, which closed during the recession. Chef Beverly Margolis created the full-service menu.
Nice restaurant selections for Downtown Greenville are always great to see. Go check them out and let us know how it is! Cause that menu looks mighty tasty! Check out their menu here.
Looks like the Upstate is going to be getting a brand new German-based grocery chain. Plans have been filed for Greenville and Spartanburg for a couple new Lidl grocery stores.
Site plans filed with the county show Germany-based Lidl’s is planning a more than 36,000-square-foot store on the west side. The store would be built on nearly 3.5 acres at 8180 Warren H. Abernathy Highway beside Shogun Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar.
Plans have also been filed for Greenville off WHB and Pine Knoll. The Lidl corporate site also mentions their plans to open up in the US as well.
