Opening Soon: Cook-Out (Greer)

Ah, the Cook-Out in Greer should be opening this coming weekend baring any crazy weather (like today). Looks like it’s going to be a pretty nice restaurant.

Cook-Out is scheduled to open next week, according to co-general manager Bryson Taylor. Halloween weekend is the targeted date, pending on weather.

The Greer Cook-Out will feature the newest store prototype with seating for 80-90 inside and outdoors and a drive-thru lane. There will be 45-60 employees when fully staffed. The hours will be 10 a.m. – 3 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. – 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.“Cook-Out has an almost cult following with high schools and college ages since we’re open later,” Bryson said. “If we do our job the product will sell itself.”

We previously posted about Cook-Out coming back in May so it’s exciting to see it’s almost here!

Coming Soon: The Cheesecake Factory, Part V (Greenville, SC)

We’ve been reporting on the rumors that The Cheesecake Factory will be coming to Greenville sometime ‘soon’. There isn’t a ton of new information but if you want to read up on our posts about it you can check them out from the links below:

Part I – And that Panera Bread now has a big sign for hiring. It’ll be open very shortly I imagine.

Part II – I love this comment! So bids are starting to go out eh? Awesome!

Part III

Part IV

If you drive by the Haywood Mall you’ll see that there is a lot of construction activity going on in front of the current Panera Bread. Typically The Cheesecake Factory builds their restaurants attached to malls. Being that the current Panera Bread is fairly small the extra construction makes sense so that they can expand it into a CCF.

I know a lot of people are like ‘meh’ on CCF food but that’s ok. Them coming to Greenville is just a good sign of the growth of the Upstate. And that’s good for everyone.

Opening Soon: Aldi’s (Greer) – October 29, 2015

Looks like another Greenville store will be opening on the same day as well…

The Greer Aldi is part of a two-store opening that day and will be the third opened in the greater Greer area this month. The Aldi at 100 Chalmars Road in Greenville also opens Oct. 29. A Boiling Springs store, on Hwy. 9, opened Oct. 1.

Coming Soon: 13 Stripes Brewery (Taylors)

The Upstate is quickly becoming a very popular for micro-breweries and such. A new brewery will be opening up in 2016 in the Taylors Mill area (next to Due South Coffee).

The brewery searched for a location for nearly a year and will locate in an 8,000-square-foot space near the Due South Coffee Roasters.

[sic] He said equipment for the space will be ordered in the next few weeks and estimates a spring 2016 opening.

Go check them out on Facebook where they seem to be pretty active.
