Update: The name of the place is supposedly K-Town
Remember the old Pawley’s/Cade’s off I385 and Butler Road? It’s been closed for a while and word is that a new Korean restaurant will be opening in that location sometime in July.
Brad posted a while back that it would be a Sushi bar
the old Cade‘s/Pawley’s at 385/Butler is going to be a Sushi bar
They are demolishing some stuff inside right now. Not sure of an open target date ya, i’m hoping this one succeeds
Trying to dig up some more details on the place but and recently got this additional tip from Paul on our Facebook page:
In the former Pier 1 location off Haywood Road (near Haywood Mall) will be coming a Boot Barn.
Here’s the scoop from Carolina Knight
Boot Barn is locating in the former Pier 1 Imports at Haywood Mall.
So you know that piece of property on the corner of E. Wade Hampton/Stone Ave/Church Street? It’s a rough triangular shaped piece of land that has Canal Insurance on the back side (off Stone) and some professional offices off Church and Henry’s Smokehouse on WHB.
Looks like some construction effort is moving forward for that location to build out some apartments, retail/restaurants and anchored by a 53,000 square foot grocery store.
Very cool project for a great piece of property.
Here’s the .pdf with all kinds of cool concepts and information.
Had a co-worker that dropped a tip that in the former Mig’s Pizza in Taylors will be coming an El Patron Mexican Restaurant. Mig’s Pizza Castle closed down a while back when the owner had some health issues.
Not sure if they are open yet so drop by and check them out and report back!
Our super sleuths keep on finding good stuff coming in Greenville! In the former Travinia location will be coming a new Greek and Italian place. Here’s the details as we know of them right now:
At the former Travinia’s location at 1625 Woodruff Rd., I noticed today a new sign for Angelo’s Greek & Italian Cuisine. Legal notices published in the March 13, 20 and 27 issues of “Greenville Journal” (GreenvilleJournal.com) announced that ADEK, LLC, dba Angelo’s Greek & Italian Cuisine, intended to apply to SCDOR for a license/permit that would allow the sale and on-premises consumption of beer, wine and liquor.
No idea if this is the same Angelo’s down in the lower/mid area of SC but guess we’ll find out soon enough!
Edit: One of our intrepid sleuth’s posted on Facebook that this restaurant is not related to any of the other Angelo’s in SC.
