Yay for more local/regional restaurants! Especially with unique themes. So with that let’s get right to it: Biscuit Head, an Asheville-based restaurant, will be opening up a location here in Greenville. The location will be at South Ridge development which is right off University and Church Street (across from NEXT Center).
Pretty cool concept and hope they do well! IMO you can never go wrong with breakfast places. More details on the restaurant can be found on this UBJ article.
So check out their corporate site and get your belly’s ready for some biscuits!
According to Carolina Knight it looks like Rite Aid might be putting up a nice distribution center in Spartanburg County. Rumored to be part of “Project Emerald”.
Rite Aid is rumored to open its new southeastern United States distribution center in Spartanburg County. The new distribution center will be a consolidation of three smaller distribution centers in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Poca, West Virginia
The new distribution center is rumored to go up on Bryant Road north of Interstate 85 on part of a 1,400 acre site owned by Johnson Development Associates through the subsidiary Flatwood Farms LLC. It would be one million square feet and size and create 600 jobs initially.
Rite Aid is rumored to be the company being courted by Spartanburg County in a deal known as “Project Emerald.”
Details are here. Remember, this is just rumors as of now. Just because you see it in the news doesn’t mean it’s factual. And no, we have not independently verified this information but we have harnessed the power of our Google Fu and awesome internet search ninja’s to come up with this data. 😀
So Harris Teeter is coming back to the Upstate! That’s fantastic news for everyone. Their new location will be at the redesigned Lewis Plaza off Augusta Road. Tentative open date will be sometime in 2016. Reason why it’s so far off is that they are totally redoing Lewis Plaza. So there is a lot of construction that will need to happen to prepare for their anchor client.
It sounds like a fancy grocery store to boot! 2 story, outdoor seating, etc. Great news for those off Augusta Road and near Downtown area.
A longer article with all the details is posted on UBJ.
